Fort Sarbinowo

Fort Sarbinowo to jeden z czterech fortów Twierdzy Kostrzyn, usytuowany przy ul. Sportowej, prowadzącej do wsi Sarbinowo. Zbudowany w latach 1883-1889, stanowił część planu przekształcenia Twierdzy Kostrzyn w fortową, co miało na celu ochronę przed bliskim ostrzałem przeciwnika. Mimo że fort zbudowany został z cegły, jego odporność na ostrzał była niewielka, co skłoniło do wzmocnienia konstrukcji betonem w latach 1889-90.

Podczas I wojny światowej pełnił funkcję obozu jenieckiego, w którym przetrzymywano m.in. Roland Garros i Michaiła Tuchaczewskiego. W czasie II wojny światowej służył jako fabryka amunicji. Fort, wyposażony w 24 działa i załogę liczącą około 600 osób, nigdy nie brał udziału w działaniach bojowych. Jego imponująca konstrukcja i historyczne znaczenie czynią go ważnym punktem turystycznym.
