Plaża Gdańsk Westerplatte

Plaża Westerplatte w Gdańsku to mała i niezauważalna plaża, położona pomiędzy Westerplatte a Portem Północnym w Gdańsku, kiedyś cieszyła się dużą popularnością wśród wczasowiczów przed II wojną światową.

Znane z pięknego położenia, było to modne kąpielisko. Niegdyś, w okolicach tego miejsca, znajdowało się ujście Wisły. W 1924 roku, na mocy decyzji Rady Ligi Narodów, w tym obszarze zbudowano Wojskową Składnicę Tranzytową, która w 1939 roku stała się miejscem ataku, rozpoczynając II wojnę światową.

Mimo że plaża istnieje do dziś, straciła swoją dawna atrakcyjność i popularność wśród mieszkańców i turystów.
